ART GALLERY

Scarf Origin Story:  My scarf designs started out as art prints. These were original photographs altered by accident (!) while using my then very rudimentary understanding of “photoshop." The unexpected, but intriguing, results inspired me to further explore the process of altering images digitally.

Prints on Paper:  For much of my practice, photography is the start of my creative process and a camera has been my constant tool. In my early collages I altered my photographs by cutting, coloring and pasting piece to piece - all by hand.  When I began using a computer program for some of those steps I entered a foreign land whose language I'm still learning. Recently I’ve been combining my oldest and newest practices - altering my digitally printed photographs with hand coloring and occasionally collage. Not exactly full circle - maybe an ellipse.  I am glad to show you some of these works here - a few of which you may recognize as designs in the scarves.
